One in every four Mexicans has difficulty accessing food. At the same time, one-third of the food produced goes to waste, which represents 38 tons of food per minute. The Mexican Food Banking Network is a high-impact civil organization that gives food a new lifespan. Operating through a network of 50+ entities, they reduce the food gap and improve nutritional conditions across the region, feeding more than 1.9M individuals in vulnerable communities.

They have become key players in the zero-waste agenda, avoiding hundreds of thousands of tons of food from being discarded which would have emitted extensive levels of CO₂e into the atmosphere.
